What is fire blanket? How does Fire Blanket Works?

A fire blanket is a safety device designed to extinguish small fires by cutting off the oxygen supply to the flames. Fire blankets are made of fire-resistant materials such as wool, fiberglass, or Kevlar, and are typically stored in a red or white soft case for easy access in case of emergency.

To use a fire blanket, the blanket is pulled out of its case and held in front of the body while approaching the fire. The blanket is then placed over the fire, smothering the flames and cutting off the oxygen supply. The blanket should be left in place until the fire is completely extinguished and the area has cooled down.

Fire blankets are particularly useful for smothering small fires on people or objects, such as clothing, that cannot be extinguished with water or traditional fire extinguishers. They are commonly found in kitchens, laboratories, and other areas where small fires are more likely to occur.
